Something Book:
Riley asks safety questions kids should be able to answer if they get separated from their grown ups. Kids and grown ups can work together to write and illustrate their first Something Book!
I offer a $0.50 each, safety and activity booklet for kids and their grown ups to fill in and make it into their own, personal “Something Book.” Alas, you’ll have to find me in person for a copy. Two quarters only covers my printing costs (but it’s not about me).

Behind the scenes: I wanted to make a minimum picture book. It ended up being as many words as a full, 28 page picture book. Since the pictures are small it fits on a four-page booklet (aka one letter page folded like a greeting card).
Trash to Space, a story arc.
I’m writing a series of children’s stories about Riley and his friends. They are growing up, through the series, in a future of sea colonies and space exploration.
Each story is stand-alone, but they create a combined story arc. Grownups can start reading the series with their children, to get them interested, learning to read, and taking over to read on their own.
Each story encourages reading, learning, and creative problem solving. They are science fiction books, set in a future that is part of my overall ‘science fiction tree’ from here to colonizing another star system.
The Trash to Space series is set in a time when we have colonized the oceans with floating cities and farms.
Something Book:
An activity booklet, now available, exclusively in person. Riley ask questions that kids should be able to answer, if they get separated from their grownups. Kids can write their answers, add drawing, and write their first book.
Mom Gave Me Books:
A picture booklet, but minimized, and maybe a coloring book. Available exclusively in person. Riley shares his love of books, science, and engineering. Grown ups can read to pre-reading kids, and early reading kids can learn to read it, too.
First 2 Friends, Greenhouse:
A picture book in the works.
3rd Friend, Flying:
An illustrated book in the works.
4th Friend, Chemistry:
A middle book (more than a picture book, but not a full chapter book) in the works.
