New (Print) Editions on Amazon!
If you have old editions already, there’s nothing new, in content. No major changes. But if you’ve been waiting to get one, they’re better than ever. (Links below.)
I may have improved my writing in the last ten years, so I edited my stories. Mostly correcting embarrassing grammar errors. (Word autocorrect kept fixing “dolphins porpoising” to “dolphins proposing.” But hopefully I’ve fixed all of them.)
The new editions have better formatting, too. That’s the big change. More margin space, better looking, and things like that.
The cover files from back then don’t work in my current software, so each of them has been refreshed.
I recommend getting the print editions, not the eBook editions, yet. (I get the same royalties either way, so it’s not a money thing.) There’s been a problem with the eBooks on Amazon. Let’s give them time to fix them.
But all the updated print books look good:
Obtuse Angles, a novella { $11.99 }
A high school graduate and a dolphin survive the open ocean, while exploring the Pacific and evading capture.
Max Queue, a novella. { $9.99 }
A prepper family searches for safety, when earthquakes return to Missouri.
Bright Side of the Equation, a short story. { $9.99 }
A doctor and designer aren’t quite working, as a couple, when a fatal illness strikes.
Mass Are Squared, a short story. { $5.99 }
A college couple has problems with a high energy, physics experiment that ought to work.
Confounding Variable, a short story. { $5.99 }
A boy, a colonial village, a lovely ren’fest day, a sword, and bad omens, when wards are triggered on all sides.
(Pi Are Spiral is not updated, yet. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it….)
(Minimum prices went up, but how much Amazon pays didn’t go up. Anyone surprised by that?)
Are you going to make me sign that?
October’s Farmers’ Market. Halloween!
I plan to be at the Springfield Writers’ Guild, Halloween booth at the Farmers’ Market.
Halloween Saturday, from 8 to noon.
(Authors might be there for our ‘normal weekend’ of October 17th. I’m not sure.)
At the Battlefield Mall in Springfield MO.
In the northeast corner of the mall’s parking lot, next to Glenstone Ave, north of Battlefield Ave.
I’ve ordered my new paperback books. Lovely Amazon refuses to deliver ‘authors copies’ quickly. So, I don’t know what will get delivered to me in time. Hopefully two to four of the five new versions. (Max Queue should be in time. Obtuse Angles should not. Which ones in between is to-be-determined.)
If you buy paperbacks directly from me, you’ll save a dollar, get them handed to you (instead of delivered later), and avoid paying for shipping. Worse for me, you can ask me to sign them. I haven’t signed much, and I worry about it. Maybe some day I’ll be so famous that I can sign books without worrying. Until then…
What should I write?
Just sign my name?
Write a catchphrase?
If so, what should my catchphrase be?
Should I ask “Who do I make it out to?”
If so, what if I mess up writing their name?
What do you think I should do?
My Goal. It’s Full of Books.
(Bonus points to anyone who gets the paraphrased quote.)
I found a display rack at a church’s garage sale. My goal is to fill it with books for sale at markets and conventions. I’m making progress. The five refreshed versions from Amazon. Plus a children’s book, Mom Gave Me Books, in three styles (colorized, black and white, and coloring book).
I’ve also got my giveaway, children’s activity booklet, Draw Something. And my ‘author’s version of a business card,’ Try Angle. But they are too small to fit.
Find me at the farmer’s market to see how full I get it. And, how empty you can make it. (The new versions in this picture are just cover tests. They’ve got paper clips on their spines, holding their test pages together.)
Thank You!
